Fall Decorating on a Budget

I purchased a faux golden brown rose and a bud vase (total $5.00) and made a simple centerpiece. With the rest of my decor taking up a lot of space and attention, I thought an understated Fall Centerpiece would be best. And cheap.

I purchased these frames 50% off and bought the scrapbook paper for .99 each. I then purchased lowercase large black glitter letters to hot glue. I also purchased two glittery leaf stickers and voila! I love monograms and figured that I could just change out the paper and stickers for each season and have something permanent. Total cost on that: $31.00.

I already had the twine from another project and just used some of the black letters and glued them making the words “fall” across my curtain rod.

I painted and distressed my gold mirror to an off white. You like?

I purchased this au natural wreath for $2.99 and the little nest and eggs. Total price: $7.00. I used the twine to hang it.

a close up on the “fall”.

another mirror shot….

and the best permanent piece of decor that I’ve invested in this Fall is my 3 month old son, Jake. Isn’t he the cutest? Best baby ever.
All in all, I spent about $45 for my home projects for the Fall. Not too bad!

Looking fab. Beth! Love the mirror, the white looks great, the wreath, very cool and LOVE the fall in the window!!!
The BEST has to be Jake though! What a cutie guy! He looks like Chad, no?!
Love the framed scrapbook paper! Great idea! And I adore monograms too!
Your little Jake is by far the most beautiful thing in your house, I am sure! (Although he is not a “thing”, I just couldn’t find anything else that fit.) He is a beauty, though. Your fall decor is also very sweet! Hugs, Cindy S.
