Saving Money Tip #3 – Cut your own bouquet

Buying fresh cut flowers can be a  simple yet expensive way to brighten your home or mood. This afternoon, I was trimming our azalea bushes and a crazy growing ground covering plant in our front yard and realized that I could have my own vase of Spring right here in my home and free of charge!

So, when you are outside doing some simple yard work, don’t forget to bring some flowers and greens inside for a great display! Even if you do not have a garden of your own, you probably don’t have to take a far walk to find some that nature is willing to lend you :-)

Happy Spring!

  1. That looks so pretty. I love doing that…one of the main reasons I garden. I cut lavender, rosemary, twigs from trees, and whatever flowers are blooming at the time. I love fresh flowers in the house. When the yard is empty I fill in with flowers from Trader Joes…they are always pretty cheap. HEE HEE PS I am loving all your money saving tips

  2. our azaleas aren’t blooming yet. I love cutting flowers from the yard too. I need more flowers though and the bunnies need to stop eating them. :) yours look really pretty!

  3. Very pretty!! Our azaleas haven’t bloomed either!!! Maybe my neighbor won’t mind if I trim their shrubs :-)
